That was a profound lesson too. I grew up very similar to you as my mother's only child and my fathers youngest (until he went and had 2 more, sheesh). But it was nothing like you described. My mother was horible with money and the lights would get cut off and everything.BUT she wasnt even out here balling.. she just forgot to pay it.. So my lessons were by example. I was NOT going to be like that.. I was gonna pay my bills.. and be broke, BUT, I would have a roof over my head and be able to drive my car (even if I was only going around the block OR to work!)

sorry so long.. but great reflection!Totally Inspiredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04749822167358859473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857685521428375233.post-64219459402460782002010-03-10T12:21:46.735-08:002010-03-10T12:21:46.735-08:00Amen to this. I remember seeing this thing on Tyra where these girls were saying they would do ANYTHING to be on TV. I was digusted at the things they were willing to do just to be on TV. Instead of working hard and taking care of themselves.

GREAT POSTS!!I BLEED PINKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864431515186283533noreply@blogger.com
